2009 AVELLA HISTORY & GENEALOGY FAIR

Sept. 26, 2009 Apx. 8:00am (setup) to Apx 1:00pm

(A special treat! After the fair, interested visitors may take part in a one hour Wheeling & Lake Erie RR train ride (or possibly two)  at about 2:00pm, from the Avella/AD White Society "Wabash" Train Station.)

The annual Avella History

and Genealogy Fair is...

• Held each year on the last Saturday of September- this Year Sep. 26

• (2006 also included a Spring Fair)

• The Avella Community Center Gymnasium/ exhibition center, plus the train station will be open
  

• Numerous history and genealogy-related displays!

• If your interests include tri-state and local area coal mining, farming and railroading history, this is right up your alley!

• If you are interested in history and family histories in Southwestern PA and West Virginia Panhandle, this is for you, too!

• Historical displays found nowhere else! 

• Historical and Genealogy Groups from the tri-state area will be setting up displays!

• Some items will be available for sale

• The ladies of St. Michael's RC Church will sell a delicious array of food & refreshments

• Estimated starting time is about 8:00 am, after exhibitors have set up, and will go into early afternoon; about 1:00 pm

• The Location is on the "Heights Hill" in Avella. Follow the signs!
